Remember that feeling that you got when you were planning which festivals to attend? While we may not have experienced that giddiness in a minute, festivals have been preparing for next year, and now you can too. Let’s face it. 2020 is a wash as far as festivals go. There’s no point in dwelling on it, so let’s look ahead at what’s to come. A handful of festivals have already announced their lineups for next year, and are even available to buy tickets to. Not that there’s any rush, but knowing you have something to look forward to can seriously be therapeutic, and we could all use a little happiness in our lives right now. You can get an early start on your 2021 festival planning with these ten festivals we know are happening next year. Enjoy! Outside Lands Date: August 6-8, 2021 Location: San Francisco, California Most excited for: The City by the Bay will be hosting some of our favorites such as Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator, ZHU, Khruangbin, and Polo & Pan.
Primavera Sound
Date: June 2-6, 2021
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Most excited for: Gorillaz, Jamie xx, Disclosure… just to name a few. This is one easily worth traveling overseas for and is considered by many to be one of the best music festivals in the world.
Summer Camp
Date: May 29-31, 2021 Location: Chillicothe, Illinois Most excited for: The one festival where you can enjoy jam bands, bass-heavy DJs, and hip-hop legends Three 6 Mafia. Yeah, count us in. There will not be a single dull moment at Summer Camp next year.
Riot Fest
Date: September 17-19, 2021 Location: Chicago, Illinois Most excited for: With My Chemical Romance confirmed, along with Lupe Fiasco performing 2007’s The Cool, Riot Fest is gearing up to be a full-on nostalgia overload. These are some rare performances that we are NOT going to miss.
Imagine Festival
Date: September 17-19, 2021 Location: Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia Most excited for: Running into the Chattahoochee hills to see some of the best acts EDM has to offer, including some wild b2b performances. We’re dying to see how the other two headliners are.
Buku
Date: March 19-20, 2021 Location: New Orleans, Louisiana Most excited for: Buku has the opportunity of being one of the first festivals to take place in 2021. If they’re able to move forward, it would be a glorious celebration of our return to music festivals. We have seven months to conquer this pandemic so we can all go party in New Orleans.
