After the cancellation of multiple festivals last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many are now making a comeback to Fayetteville this fall.
Greek Festival
The Greek Festival will return to Fayetteville on Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. The event will last all weekend through Sept. 19. The festival is a family event that includes Greek cuisine, homemade pastries, traditional Greek dancing, arts, crafts and a marketplace.
The event will be open to the public.
International Folk Festival
The International Folk Festival will return to Fayetteville on Sept. 25. through Sept. 26. This year's festival will feature more than 30 cultural groups in its Parade of Nations. Attendees will experience music and dance exhibitions, arts and crafts and eat a variety of international foods. The event is free to attend.
Dogwood Fall Festival
The Dogwood Fall Festival will be held Oct.15 through Oct.17 at Festival Park. Friday will include Downtown Hayrides and Historic Hauntings. Saturday will include the Fall Festival, Battle of the Bands, Blazin' Keys Dueling Piano Show, Downtown Hayrides and Historic Hauntings. Sunday will include the Fall Festival, a car and motorcycle show and Downtown Hayrides. The event is free, but some activities require tickets.
Taco and Beer Festival
A Taco and Beer Festival will be held on Sept. 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Westwood Shopping Center.
Comic-Con
The fall Fayetteville Comic-Con will be held on Oct.16 and Oct.17 at the Crown Expo Center. Tickets are not yet on sale but are coming soon. To stay updated on ticket sales, visit the event's Facebook page. The convention includes two days of comics, sci-fi, anime and gaming.
A Dickens Holiday
A Dickens Holiday will be held the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. The event transforms downtown into Victorian-style England, including arts and crafts, vendors and performing carolers.
The event is free to the public, according to Antonia Renteria, director of operations for Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County.
